Alana Daly Mulligan is a multi-award-winning spoken-word “artivist”, journalist, filmmaker & producer of Déise extraction, based in Cork. Their practice is a powerful exploration of the queer experience in Ireland, with an advocacy for social change and acceptance locally, nationally and internationally.
A co-founder of a number of creative initatives seeking to promote arts, culture and activism, Alana has proudly worked on the stage as well as behind the scenes.
As an actor and spoken word performer, Daly Mulligan has performed at bars, theatres, and festivals from Cork to New York, working alongside names like Stephen James Smith, Shane Koyczan, Tim Chadwick, Nile Rodgers, and Dolly Parton to name a few. They have had their work presented on three continents, taught on university syllabi, and archived for future generations.

Their words have found a home in influential publications and numerous slam nights, while their films have debuted at some of Ireland’s most prestigious film festivals.

I'm an artivist:
I tell stories that matter.
At the centre of everything I do are people and their ever-exciting humanity that I want to borrow and share with the world. Stories deserve to be told the right way. With dignity. With empathy. With patience. With love. With openness. I am fortunate to have had the chance to talk with people who are changing the world in all sorts of ways and when I'm especially lucky, be part of making change myself. I am always interested in a challenge, love working on diverse and creative projects, big and small.

If you're considering me for a project, don't hesitate to reach out and connect with me.
